Hi, I’m Daniel Winzen, a German web developer and system administrator. In my free time, I enjoy reading, working on my open-source projects, and traveling the world.
The programming languages I use regularly are PHP, SQL, and JavaScript, though I am also familiar with the basics of Perl, Python, C, C++, and others. Thanks to my experience, I can quickly get up to speed with new languages and use them whenever necessary.
Before I became interested in programming and server administration, I had been contributing German translations to various open-source projects since late 2011.
I have a solid understanding of cybersecurity threats and am constantly expanding my knowledge in this field, as I consider it essential—and I simply enjoy it. This website likely wouldn’t exist were it not for my passion for cybersecurity and hacking. Like many good parents, mine were strict about my internet usage. I had to get creative to find ways to access the internet even after my allotted time had run out. That is why I started exploring hacking, the darknet, and network security at a very early age.
Backups are also crucial; I use BorgBackup on all my devices to create regular, encrypted backups. These are stored in remote backup storage where snapshots are taken regularly, ensuring recoverability even in the event of a backup failure.
Managing servers and email services, as well as developing new web projects, is what drives me. I enjoy optimizing systems for performance and getting the most out of the resources I have. Do you need help managing or optimizing your infrastructure or website? I am available for freelance work.
